Varee Chiangmai International School has celebrated Thai New Year to maintain the Thai tradition of Songkran. There is a Songkran parade and all flowers to ask elders for blessings. All participants wear traditional clothes on the Songkran Day, adds on the feeling of coming of Songkran Festival. The performances at the school are from our kindergarten students, primary and teachers on the special day to celebrate this eventful day. Every year we show our thankfulness to our beloved Ajarn Varee Patravanich, our school director by asking for blessings and also forgivenesses as it is believed to be a good fortune and good start for the present year and good luck to themselves and to thier families. Playing water at the end of ceremony is most favorite part for all of our students and our Thai and foriegn teachers on the Songkran Day!
