The International Day of Peace was established by the UN General Assembly in 1981 and was observed each year on 21 September. International Day of Peace is global call for ceasefire and non-violence. United Nation continues to raise awareness of the dangers from violence acts. This year the campaign “WMD – We Must Disarm” is calling for schools over 300 schools to participate in raising the awareness for the Peace of all people. Mrs. Varee Patravanich has led the assembly with a statement from Thailand Prime Minister on International Day of Peace and a statement from Secretary-General of United Nation with one minute of silenced participated by all students in Varee Chiangmai School. This is to raise awareness of Peace and the importance of ethics and morality.
